Trade Payment Deadline Extended Due to Shutdown

The Agriculture Department extended the deadline to apply for trade-mitigation payments aimed at helping farmers suffering from trade retaliation by foreign nations.

The Market Facilitation Program was extended as Farm Service Agency offices across the country are closed due to the partial government shutdown.

The Jan. 15 deadline will be extended by the number of days FSA offices are closed for the shutdown.
