McHenry Requests S. 2155 Implementation Update

House Financial Services Committee Ranking Member Patrick McHenry (R-N.C.) urged regulators to swiftly implement several outstanding provisions of the S.2155 regulatory relief law.

In letters to the prudential banking regulators, Securities and Exchange Commission and Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, McHenry noted the need for a short-form call report and stronger capital simplification for community banks, among other reforms, to promote greater economic growth and right-size regulations.

McHenry requested a status report from the agencies, including their estimated timeline for completion, by May 30.
