Oct. 31, 2018 — ICBA today is joining The Venture Center and the State of Arkansas to launch the ICBA ThinkTech Accelerator, a community bank-focused fintech accelerator program. This first-of-its-kind fintech accelerator will provide an outlet for community banks to directly engage and partner with early-stage fintech companies focusing exclusively on community bank product development and solutions.
At a news conference set for 11 a.m. (Eastern time) today at The Venture Center in Little Rock, Ark., ICBA President and CEO Rebeca Romero Rainey will join Rep. French Hill (R-Ark.) and others to launch the accelerator. A live stream of the news conference will be available on the ICBA website.
A selection committee made up of ICBA staff and member bank executives will serve as mentors to early-stage companies vying for top spots in the selection process, selecting up to 10 candidates for the program. ICBA will invest in each accelerator participant, with finalists presenting their solutions at the ThinkTech showcase at ICBA LIVE® 2019, scheduled for March 18-22 in Nashville.
Themes for the ThinkTech Accelerator include next-generation lending, artificial intelligence and machine learning, blockchain, payments, advanced analytics and big data, regulatory compliance tools, cybersecurity, authentication, and streamlining the customer experience.
