ICBA Announces IT, Human Resources and Marketing Promotions

Washington, D.C. (June 14, 2019)—The Independent Community Bankers of America® (ICBA) today announced five new promotions. LuAnne Roelike was promoted to vice president of database/application development and services, Lawk Salih to vice president of technology systems and services, Humaira Mir to vice president of human resources, Michael Marriott to director of digital marketing strategy, and Johanna Tesfay to human resources generalist.

As part of ICBA’s information technology team for more than 35 years, Roelike is responsible for ICBA’s data management resources and works across departments to ensure their technology-related issues are addressed. Her new role includes increased supervisory and oversight responsibilities for the department’s database and application development initiatives as well as its ongoing customer service strategy.  She has an associate’s degree in medical information from Alexandria Technical Community College and a computing degree from St. Cloud Technical Community College.

Since joining ICBA last year, Salih has been instrumental in the organization’s migration to cloud-based computing and oversees IT’s cybersecurity and several other technology initiatives. In his new role, Salih will continue to be immersed in various strategic IT focus areas and will continue to play a key role in helping ICBA move forward in the technology and digital arena. He has a Bachelor of Science in information systems from Strayer University and is currently pursuing his master’s degree from Virginia Tech.

Since joining ICBA in 2015 as a human resources generalist, Mir has taken on increased responsibilities and has proven to be a resourceful recruiter and effective project manager for employee engagement initiatives. She has nearly 20 years of human resource experience and has a Bachelor of Arts in psychology from McMaster University.  

Marriott’s expanded role as director of digital marketing strategy reflects increasing responsibilities since joining ICBA in 2017 as email marketing manager. In his new role, he will focus on the strategic development, coordination and oversight of digital marketing platform enhancements while tracking and reporting on the effectiveness of marketing campaigns. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in political science from The George Washington University.

Tesfay has continued to take on expanded duties since joining ICBA in 2016. As human resources generalist she serves as point person for employee benefits, payroll administration, employee recognition and service programs. She has a Master of Business Administration and a master’s degree in human resources from University of Maryland University College.
